Island Dance
Island Dance is inspired by a family vacation that I took to Puerto Rico in 2018. The relaxing scenery and carefree time spent with family inspired this fun and catchy marimba feature for the intermediate to advanced marimbist looking for a demanding marimba part with percussion ensemble accompaniment. This piece would be a great fit for Junior or Senior percussion recitals as a fun closer or would fit perfectly onto a percussion ensemble concert. This piece features accompaniment by three additional percussionists including Timpani, Vibraphone, and Drumset.
